Sahel States Restart Dialogue with ECOWAS

Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso resumed dialogue with ECOWAS on Saturday, after leaving the bloc in January 2025 and forming the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). Former Rwandan Military Officer Robert Kabera Found Beheaded in Uganda

Robert Kabera, a former sergeant major in Rwanda’s military who defected in 2021, was found dead and beheaded in Kamengo, near Kampala. In exile, he became a musician and criticized Paul Kagame’s government on social media; after fleeing Kigali, he reportedly sought protection from Ugandan authorities.
