ISEG Placed on Blacklist: What Will Happen to Already Enrolled Students

The Ministry of Higher Education published a « Blacklist No. 1 » on October 1st, listing 34 private institutions not recognized by the state, including 25 branches of ISEG spread across Senegal. These branches, located in Dakar suburbs, Saint-Louis, Ziguinchor, Thiès, and other areas, lack official recognition to award recognized degrees at Bachelor and Master levels. Without official recognition, students’ diplomas may have no official value, affecting their eligibility for public service jobs and further studies. The situation raises concerns about the legality and value of degrees obtained from these unrecognized branches.
