Israeli police arrest 10 after settler attacks on journalist, diplomats

Israeli police arrested 10 suspects on Monday over violence, violating a closed military zone order and illegal construction, following a wave of settler attacks in the occupied West Bank. The arrests came after Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was beaten in Abu Falah on Friday, suffering broken ribs and vertebrae and a serious finger injury. Masked settlers also attacked European diplomats visiting the Christian village of Taybeh. US Ambassador Mike Huckabee welcomed the arrests as attacks disrupting the olive harvest drew international condemnation.
