Israeli settlers attack Palestinians in West Bank during olive harvest

The BBC witnessed about a dozen Israeli settlers attack Palestinians and activists harvesting olives near an outpost in the occupied West Bank. The settlers set fire to roughly a dozen olive trees and hurled stones with slingshots. Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was at the scene, was taken to hospital and said she had been attacked and kicked while on the ground. The UN says attacks by violent settlers in the past two weeks have already surpassed those during last year’s entire harvest season, with violence reaching record levels this year.
