Israeli shelling continues as Lebanon’s PM demands withdrawal in UN speech

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called for an end to the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon and full enforcement of the ceasefire, as Israeli shelling and demolitions continue. He demanded a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces to the internationally recognized border and the release of all Lebanese detainees. On the ground, Israeli explosions near Taybeh and Deir Siryan, along with air strikes between Froun and Ghandourieh, have caused fires, with Israeli forces occupying over 60 towns and systematically demolishing homes despite a signed ceasefire agreement. Since March, Israeli attacks have resulted in at least 4,386 deaths and 12,407 injuries in southern Lebanon.
