Israelis question how the next government will be formed

After Israel’s October 27 election, President Isaac Herzog gave opposition candidate Gadi Eisenkot the first opportunity to form a coalition on Saturday night. In Jerusalem’s Mamilla district, residents said the task would be difficult and called for greater respect and understanding among Israelis. Eisenkot, leader of the Yashar party, is due to begin negotiations with potential coalition partners after an official ceremony on Sunday. He has up to six weeks to form a government.
