Israel’s ambassador to the US says son injured in West Bank car-ramming

Yechiel Leiter, Israel's ambassador to the US, announced that his son, a soldier, was injured in a car-ramming attack at a checkpoint west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. The incident resulted in the death of a 29-year-old Palestinian man, Mahmoud Suleiman, shot by Israeli forces after driving towards them. Leiter posted on social media that medics are fighting to save his son's life, who is in serious condition. His other son, Moshe Yedidya, was killed in Gaza in November 2023.
