Italy: underpaid Kenyan workers denounce working conditions

Kenyan workers building a $350 million US consulate in Milan were paid less than $2 per hour. Italian prosecutors are investigating Caddell Construction, with two managers arrested for labor exploitation. The 70 workers, mostly from India, faced illegal deductions for housing and food, worked 10 hours a day, six days a week, and earned only 500 euros per month after deductions.
