It's not CAF that pays me

Guinea's head coach Paulo Duarte explained his absence from the pre-match press conference before the South Africa game by stating that CAF does not pay him and that he needs to focus on training. He claimed to be sick but was later seen at the team’s final training session, which could lead to disciplinary action from CAF. Guinea lost their opening match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers 2-1 against South Africa and will try to recover against Kenya on October 1.
