'It's ridiculous' - Dino Melaye slams increased Presidential jets

Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, criticized the increase in the number of aircraft in the presidential air fleet under Bola Tinubu's administration, calling it 'ridiculous' for a country as poor as Nigeria. He noted that the Nigerian Air Force did not receive any new aircraft in 2025, while the presidential fleet had been increased by five aircraft in under four years. Melaye specified that three of the aircraft were purchased outright by the government, while two were reportedly leased at undisclosed rates.
