Ituri: MONUSCO deploys a mobile operational base in Niania to secure the response against Ebola

MONUSCO has deployed a mobile operational base in Niania, in the Mambasa territory, to enhance the security of teams fighting against the Ebola epidemic. This base, set up by Bangladeshi blue helmets, aims to secure treatment centers and healthcare personnel in an area that has recorded over 200 confirmed cases. The blue helmets are collaborating with the Armed Forces of the DRC to protect health facilities and escort humanitarian convoys.
