Ituri: “Why only Bunia?” MP Jean-Marie Akandabo denounces the prolonged airport closure

National MP Jean-Marie Akandabo Imbay called for the urgent reopening of Murongo Airport in Bunia, which has been closed since June as part of measures to curb Ebola. Speaking at a National Assembly plenary on October 21, the UDPS-Tshisekedi representative for Mambasa said the health situation in Bunia is now under control. He condemned what he described as unequal treatment, noting that airports in Tshopo, Haut-Uélé and North Kivu remain open despite comparable health concerns.
