Ivory Coast, the world's leading cocoa producer, has decided to maintain the price paid to producers at 1,200 CFA francs per kilo for the new main campaign. This price, the same as that set in March for the intermediate harvest, applies to properly fermented, dried, and sorted cocoa. This decision has disappointed some farmers who were hoping for an increase in their income after several months of difficulties in the sector.
