Ivory Coast: Dominique Ouattara Provides 94.49 Million FCFA to Shea Nut Women Producers

At the first edition of the National Shea Nut Fair (SNKA 2026) in Abidjan, First Lady Dominique Ouattara announced a financial and material support of 94.49 million FCFA for women producers of shea. This amount includes 74.49 million FCFA for equipment such as depelliculizers, crushers, improved roasters, presses, mills, barattes, and tricycles for cooperatives in the regions of Bagoué, Tchologo, and Bounkani, along with an additional 20 million FCFA to support income-generating activities. Over 152,000 people, mostly women, directly depend on this sector in Ivory Coast.
