On April 29 and 30, Yamoussoukro will host the 'Promotional Days for Tilapia', aimed at boosting local fish production. Currently, Ivory Coast imports nearly 80% of its fish needs, despite a national demand of 650,000 to 730,000 tons per year. The FISH4ACP program, supported by FAO and the European Union, aims to increase tilapia production ninefold by 2031. The event will include workshops for youth and exhibition stands for the public, showcasing the quality of Ivorian tilapia.
