The purchase price for a kilogram of cocoa for the 2026-2027 campaign is set at 1,200 FCFA, while the coffee price is 1,300 FCFA. This announcement was made by Agriculture Minister Bruno Nabagné Koné during the National Cocoa and Chocolate Days. Producers are expressing dissatisfaction with these prices, which they consider inadequate. Additionally, State Minister Anne Desiré Ouloto has called for intensified efforts against illegal gold mining.
