Ivory Coast: Producers on strike, break of cocoa agreement with Ghana; Gbagbo leaves Abidjan

Cocoa producers in Ivory Coast are on strike following the break of the harmonization agreement with Ghana, where cocoa is better paid (around 2100 FCFA) compared to Ivory Coast (1200 FCFA). Former President Laurent Gbagbo has traveled to Brussels for a private stay. Additionally, Ivory Coast has engaged in intense diplomatic activity in New York and has decided to break the agreement with Ghana regarding cocoa purchase prices.
