« There is simply no way to get there »: traffic chaos in Kyiv after the closure of the South Bridge

Heavy traffic jams have paralyzed Kyiv after the South Bridge was closed following drone attacks by Russian forces overnight. Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the closure of the bridge, which also carries a metro line, and traffic restrictions on two other major bridges, Paton and Metro. Residents, especially those trying to cross the Dnieper River, face increasing difficulties, with temporary restrictions on a fourth bridge, Dar. These attacks represent an escalation in Russia's bombing campaign against the Ukrainian capital.
