Jannik Sinner withdraws from China Open as recovery from injury continues

Jannik Sinner, world number one, withdrew from the China Open due to a knee injury that prevents him from competing. He has not played since winning Wimbledon in July and also missed the US Open. Sinner announced on social media that his knee is not yet ready and he hopes to return soon. He previously won the China Open last year by defeating Learner Tien in the final.
