Japan to Equip Kenya Navy With Patrol Boats in New Security Push

Japan plans to equip Kenya with patrol boats as part of a security assistance program aimed at strengthening maritime surveillance along the Indian Ocean coastline. This support is part of Japan's Official Security Assistance (OSA) for the 2026 financial year, which aims to enhance partner countries' ability to monitor their territorial waters.
