Jean Manga Onguéné: Canon and Roger Milla reunite for his final return to Yaoundé

Jean Manga Onguéné’s remains arrived at Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport on Tuesday, October 20. Representatives of Canon Sportif de Yaoundé, including president-general Emmanuel Mvé Elemva and managing director Aloys Etoundi, joined Roger Milla and relatives to welcome him. After a religious service at the airport, the coffin was taken to the morgue at Yaoundé General Hospital. Onguéné, who died in Paris on October 6 at age 80, won the African Ballon d’Or in 1980 and spent his entire playing career with Canon; funeral arrangements were to be announced later.
