Jean-Marc Kabund accuses Félix Tshisekedi of trying to influence justice in the Prince Epenge case

Jean-Marc Kabund, national president of the Alliance for Change, criticized Félix Tshisekedi’s comments about the arrest of Prince Epenge, president of ADDCongo and Lamuka spokesperson. In a post on X on November 1, he said the president’s remarks to the Congolese diaspora in Russia risk undermining judicial independence. Kabund disputed the claim that Manassé Lomboto died of an illness, saying he saw him at the September 15 march shortly before a machete attack outside the UDPS headquarters in Kinshasa. He said he was prepared to testify before the competent judicial authorities and argued that the president’s public comments could be viewed as political pressure on the judges.
