Jigawa community celebrates after three years of peace between farmers, herders

The Guri Local Government Council in Jigawa State has celebrated three years of sustained peace after years of recurring clashes between farmers and herders. Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Umar Danbarde credited the achievement to efforts by the state government under Governor Umar Namadi to promote peaceful coexistence and security. He urged residents to continue fostering tolerance and peaceful dispute resolution, emphasizing that this stability is vital for grassroots development. He also called on residents to maintain law and order during the upcoming 2027 general elections.
