Jigawa man arrested for allegedly setting father on fire

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man, Kabiru Nuhu, for allegedly setting his 60-year-old father on fire in Kazaure. The incident occurred on April 1, 2026, when the suspect reportedly poured a petroleum substance on the victim and ignited him. The injured father later died in the hospital. Kabiru Nuhu will be charged with patricide and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Dutse for further investigation and prosecution.
