Jilli Incident: Borno hospital raises alarm over critical blood shortage

The Medical Director of the State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri, Shehu Muhammad, has raised an alarm over a severe blood shortage following the admission of victims linked to recent air operations in Jilli village. So far, 21 individuals have been admitted for treatment, many of whom require immediate blood transfusions. The hospital is calling on residents and voluntary donors to assist in replenishing its blood bank to support ongoing emergency care efforts.
