Moustapha Guèye, an iconic figure in Senegalese wrestling, has dedicated himself to mentoring and defending the fundamentals of the sport after retiring from competition. He advocates for a return to traditional 'mbapatt' sessions, which were essential for training young wrestlers. Born in 1964 in Dakar, Guèye also excelled in Greco-Roman wrestling, participating in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and winning several medals at the African Championships and African Games.
