JOJ Dakar 2026: the Olympic flame arrives in Senegal and will cross the 14 regions

The Olympic flame, lit on September 10 in Athens, will arrive in Senegal on September 12 for a journey through the country's 14 regions, with over 30 planned stops. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye will launch the 'Dundal JOJ' program on September 5 at the Iba Mar Diop stadium, aiming to engage the public around the Youth Olympic Games. This event will mark the first time the Olympic Games are held in Africa, with an official opening scheduled from October 31 to November 13, 2026.
