Journalist jailed two yrs for security comment in Mali

Malian journalist Abderhamane Keita was sentenced to two years in prison on Monday for stating during a TV program that the northern city of Kidal was run by the leader of the jihadist group JNIM. He was arrested in June for 'undermining national unity and the credibility of the state' and for 'publishing and disseminating false or misleading information'. Reporters Without Borders called the conviction unjust and urged Malian authorities to stop using the justice system against journalists.
