JSC Nominates 37 Judges as Koome Warns on Corruption Crackdown

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has nominated 37 candidates for judgeships in the High Court and the Environment and Land Court. The selection process attracted 377 applications for the High Court and 243 for the Environment and Land Court. Chief Justice Martha Koome emphasized that expanding judicial capacity aims to improve the judge-to-case ratio and reduce case backlog. She also issued a warning against corruption, stating that the Judiciary will not tolerate any compromise of integrity.
