June 12: CSOs, protesters demand action on growing insecurity

On the 33rd anniversary of June 12, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Osun State held a peaceful march in Osogbo to protest rising insecurity in Nigeria. Groups including the Osun Civil Societies Coalition, Take It Back Movement, and the Federation of Informal Workers Organisations of Nigeria marched through key roads from Ayetoro to Olaiya. Activist Kola Ibrahim stated the march aimed to highlight citizens' fears and urge authorities to address the situation. Participants called for improved citizen safety and protection of democratic rights.
