Jury sent out to consider verdicts in Jeffrey Donaldson's sex abuse trial

Judge Paul Ramsey sent the jury of seven men and five women to consider verdicts after a two-hour summing-up. Sir Jeffrey Donaldson, former DUP leader, pleads not guilty to 18 charges including rape, arising from alleged sexual abuse of two women when they were children. His wife, Lady Eleanor Donaldson, denies five charges of aiding and abetting. The trial at Newry Crown Court is in its fourth week, with alleged offences between 1985 and 2008.
