Hazings in Compiègne: Lukas Banyai was still breathing an hour before his death, according to his mother

Lukas Banyai, 18 years old, died on August 23 after being admitted to Compiègne-Noyon hospital following a pre-integration party held off-campus. During the event, two rival groups, the reds and yellows, organized challenges related to orientation traditions, and Lukas, who had previously been a mascot, reportedly drank a can of beer quickly during one challenge. After feeling unwell, he contacted emergency services, was hospitalized, but died an hour later after being found not breathing in the morning. His family filed a complaint for hazing and involuntary homicide, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact causes of death.
