Kaizer Chiefs’ directionless campaign raises questions over Fernando da Cruz’s leadership

Kaizer Chiefs drew with Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium on Tuesday, recording their third consecutive league draw and fifth in eight matches this season. Fernando da Cruz’s side failed to close the gap on leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who are nine points ahead despite having played an extra game. Da Cruz’s selection of six defensive players, including Paseka Mako as a winger and Reeve Frosler in midfield, raised questions about his tactics. Chiefs now need answers ahead of their upcoming continental test in Zambia.
