Kano APC dismisses Kwankwaso’s allegation over missing NDC candidate’s name

The APC in Kano State rejected Rabiu Kwankwaso’s allegation that it and Governor Abba Yusuf caused NDC governorship candidate Aminu Abdussalam-Gwarzo to be omitted from the INEC list. Kano APC chairman Umar Haruna-Doguwa said the court case arose from an internal NDC crisis and was filed by party members against the NDC, with no involvement by the APC or the state government. He challenged Kwankwaso to provide verifiable evidence and called the allegation an attempt at political blackmail. Haruna-Doguwa reaffirmed that eligible candidates have the right to contest the 2027 general elections.
