Kano Govt, NAPTIP uncovers child's adoption chains

The Kano State Ministry of Women Affairs and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) uncovered a network allegedly luring vulnerable women with unwanted pregnancies to adopt their children and illegally transport them to other states. An investigation was initiated after reports indicated that a staff member of Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital, Maryam Dauda, facilitated illegal adoptions. Commissioner Amina Abdullahi Sani took decisive action to protect the affected children and condemned all forms of child trafficking and illegal adoption.
