Kasaï-Central: Civil Society Denounces Military Harassment in Demba

Civil society in the Demba territory of Kasaï-Central province is denouncing harassment by military personnel interfering in judicial and customary matters. According to Demba Union fait la force, residents are facing abuses and illegal charges, fostering a climate of fear. Coordinator Ami Panu calls for the withdrawal of the military, a request also supported by Deputy Administrator Jean-Pierre Kabue, who has not received a favorable response from military hierarchy.
