Kebbi 2027: Malami declares ‘state of emergency on misgovernance,’ picks ADC nomination form

Former Attorney General Abubakar Malami has secured the African Democratic Congress (ADC) nomination form for the 2027 Kebbi governorship election. He declared a ‘state of emergency on misgovernance’ due to worsening insecurity, poverty, and educational decline in the state. Malami highlighted that over 67% of children in Kebbi are out of school and maternal mortality remains a critical issue. If elected, he promises to focus on security, education, and governance reforms.
