Kebbi: Gov Idris mourns death of two traditional leaders

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has expressed condolences over the deaths of two traditional leaders in the Gwandu Emirate, Alhaji Muhammad Zayyanu Haruna Rasheed and Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Mohammed. Rasheed, the District Head of Gwandu, died on September 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness, followed shortly by Mohammed, District Head of Diggi. The governor stated that their deaths have created a vacuum in the emirate and extended his sympathies to the Emir of Gwandu, families, and the community.
