The Kebbi State Government rejected allegations of financial mismanagement regarding its N580.33 billion 2025 budget, stating that the funds described as unaccounted for were never received. Ibrahim Abubakar Jombali explained that a budget represents projected revenue and planned expenditure, not funds already available. He also noted that Kebbi received over N172 billion from the FAAC, representing 82.6% of its projection, and that the government adjusted its expenditures in response to the revenue shortfall.
