Kebbi police threaten legal action over blockade of Kebbi–Sokoto highway

The Kebbi State Police Command has warned that it will take legal action against anyone involved in further blockades of the Kebbi–Sokoto Federal Highway. A blockade on October 9, 2026, disrupted traffic for about three hours, similar to an incident on September 23. Police spokesperson SP Bashir Usman urged grievances to be expressed through lawful channels and warned that organizers and participants in future blockades could face investigation and prosecution.
