Kefas postpones Taraba World Tourism Day celebration over communal crisis

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has postponed the World Tourism Day celebration scheduled for September 27, 2026, in Gembu due to recent communal disturbances in Mbara Village. The decision was made in solidarity with the families of victims and to maintain peace in the state. The governor also directed security agencies to intervene in the affected communities and restore normalcy.
