KeNHA Reports 66% Progress on Kitui–Makueni Highway Amid Land Acquisition Challenges

The Wikililye-Katulani section of the B61 road in Kitui has reached 66% completion after work resumed following a halt. The project, connecting Kitui and Makueni, was launched in 2022 with an expected completion in 2024 but faced delays. During an inspection, KeNHA officials met with the Kitui County Commissioner to address land acquisition issues affecting the project, which is valued at 2.3 billion KSh and aims to improve movement and connectivity between the two counties.
