KeNHA Sets New Deadline for Completion of Ksh8 Billion Mombasa-Mtwapa Highway

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has extended the completion deadline for the Mombasa-Mtwapa Highway by two years, now expected to be finished by December 16, 2027. The Ksh8.4 billion project is currently 55.96% complete. Delays have been attributed to land acquisition issues and compensation for Project Affected Persons, as well as supply challenges for construction materials due to conflicts in the Middle East.
