Martin Fayulu denounced the detention of Prince Epenge, president of ADDCongo and Lamuka spokesperson, after Epenge was referred to the Kinshasa/Gombe prosecutor following 48 hours at the National Cybercrime Council. Fayulu called for Epenge’s rights to be respected, an impartial judicial process, an independent investigation into Lomboto’s death, and prompt consideration of the complaint filed by C64 lawyers. Epenge was arrested on October 25 at N’djili Airport as he was preparing to travel to Rome, and Fayulu said he must not be made a scapegoat.
