Kenya: a serious road accident kills 17 near Nairobi

At least 17 people died in a multi-vehicle collision on a Kenyan highway, mostly Catholic pilgrims heading to a prayer site in Nakuru County. The accident occurred after midnight in Salama, caused by a truck attempting to overtake another heavy vehicle, resulting in a crash with a minibus and other vehicles. The driver of the minibus and his 16 passengers died at the scene, with most victims being women. President Ruto expressed condolences, and authorities urged drivers to exercise caution on this stretch of road.
