Kenya, Anthropic Sign AI Deal to Explore Education and Public Sector Applications

Kenya has signed a partnership with U.S. AI company Anthropic, owner of Claude, to explore AI applications in education, health, public services, research, and skills development. The Joint Declaration was signed in New York on September 22, 2026, with Kenyan officials including Korir Sing’Oei and Ambassador Courtney O’Donnell participating. The partnership aims to develop practical AI tools for schools, hospitals, and government services, while building local capacity in AI technology.
