Kenya Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia as Death Toll Reaches 19

Kenya condemned Houthi missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia that have killed 19 people and injured 364 across five airports. Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi expressed Kenya’s solidarity and condolences in a phone call on October 15 with Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji. The strikes have targeted Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and Saudi Aramco facilities, disrupting flights and damaging infrastructure. Kenya is also concerned about potential effects on fuel supplies, which rely partly on Saudi Arabia under a government-to-government agreement.
