Kenya Editors Guild Demands Probe Into Reported Abduction of Standard Editor

The Kenya Editors Guild has demanded a swift and independent investigation into the reported abduction of Alex Kiprotich, Associate Editor of The Standard Group. The incident has been described as a disturbing escalation in the intimidation of journalists, threatening media freedom. Kiprotich was found safe near Masinga Dam after being abducted by armed men. The Guild also called for an investigation into the assault of two AFP journalists in Kisumu.
