Kenya, Egypt, and Uganda to Send Climate Camera to Space for Real-Time Weather Data

The Kenya Space Agency announced that Kenya, Uganda, and Egypt will jointly launch a climate camera, ClimCam, to the International Space Station on April 8, 2026. This project, a collaboration between the three countries' space agencies, aims to provide near-real-time weather and climate data to enhance disaster management and climate resilience in East Africa. The ClimCam will be hosted on the Airbus Bartolomeo platform and was assembled and tested at the Egyptian Space Agency facilities in Cairo.
