The Kenya Pipeline Corporation (KPC) disclosed that Kenya has enough petrol stocks to last over 20 days, aiming to calm public anxiety triggered by reports of dry pumps at some filling stations. Acting MD Pius Mwendwa stated that the country currently holds about 162.8 million litres of petrol, covering approximately 26 days of national consumption. Additionally, he revealed inventory levels of 169 million litres of diesel and 83.7 million litres of Gas Turbine Fuel.
